  • Anomia

    Regular Price:

    $16.00

Anomia plays off the fact that our minds are positively brimming with all sorts of random information; things to eat, pop songs, websites, etc. Sure, under normal circumstances, it's easy enough to give an example of a frozen food, or a dog breed, but you will find that your brain works a little differently under pressure! The directions are simple. Draw a card from the center pile and flip it over. Does the symbol on your card match one on another player's card? If so, you must quickly face-off with the other player by giving an example of the person, place, or thing on their card before they can do the same for yours. If you blurt a correct answer out first, you win their card and drawing continues. Sounds simple, right? Wrong, Wild cards allow unlike symbols to match, increasing the number of things you must pay attention to. Cascading face-offs can occur when you hand over a lost card revealing a new top card on your play pile. All this adds up to a high-energy, hilarious play experience where everyone is involved at all times. Easy to learn, fun to play over and over again, Anomia will have any group of friends, family, even perfect strangers, shouting and laughing out loud as they try to beat each other to the punch.

  • Timeline Inventions

    Regular Price:

    $15.00

Was the light bulb invented after or before glasses? With Timeline, learn the answer to this question and thousands of others by comparing your knowledge or hunches to historic reality. At the beginning of the game, players all get the same number of cards representing monuments, inventions, etc. On the back of each card is a date. To begin, one card is randomly drawn from those not given to players. This card is placed in the middle of the table, date-side up and is the starting point of a chronological line which will slowly be built by the players. The first player then chooses one of their cards. If the player thinks that the invention on their card came before that of the initial card, the player places their card to the left of the initial card. If they feel that the invention on their card was created after, it is placed to the right of the initial card. The player's card is then turned date-side up. If the player was right, it remains on the table. Otherwise, the card is discarded and a new one must be drawn to replace it. Play proceeds clockwise. The more cards which are correctly played, the harder it is to correctly place new ones. The first player to get rid of their cards wins.

  • Timeline Historical Events

    $15.00

JFK’s assassination, the first step on the moon, the last crusade… can you put all these events correctly on the timeline? With Timeline Historical Events, learn the answer to this question and many more. Each card has a different historical event and on the opposite side its associated date. To begin, one card is randomly selected from the draw pile. This card is placed in the middle of the table, date-side up, and forms the starting point of a chronological line which will slowly be built outwards. On your turn, you'll choose one of your cards and place it before or after the initial card. Your card is then turned date-side up. If your guess was correct, the card remains on the table. Otherwise, the card is discarded and a new one must be drawn to replace it. As more cards are played, it quickly becomes harder to correctly place new ones! The first player to get rid of their cards wins. Play Timeline Historical Events alone or in combination with other Timeline games for an even greater challenge!
